How do I buy or sell safely and avoid scams?

Pet Guru does not process payments for classified ads. Buyers and sellers deal with each other directly and are responsible for the transaction, so take these precautions:

• Meet in a safe, public place and bring someone with you where possible.
• See the pet or item in person and check it before you pay.
• Be wary of deals that are far below market price, or sellers who refuse to meet or show the pet.
• Do not send advance payments, and never share card details or OTP codes.
• Ask for recent photos or a video, and check vaccination and health records for pets.
